MOPED RENTALS Mopeds are a fun and exciting way to see the Black Hills at your own pace. With a top speed of approximately 30 mph, mopeds are a great way to slow down and appreciate the sights this area offers. Explore to your heart's content! View spectacular scenery. All of our mopeds feature headlights, turn signals, front and rear brakes. |
| Rental Requirements: Operators must have a valid drivers license with them at the time of rental and be at least 21 years of age. No Motorcycle License is required. Learner’s permits are NOT accepted. You assume all risks when you operate the moped and that only those drivers listed on the rental contract are allowed to operate the unit. You further understand that you are responsible for damage to equipment. Rental fees include a helmet, general operational instructions, and a Black Hills area map. The renter must refill the moped with gas prior to returning it to avoid a $10 gas charge. All mopeds must be returned during normal business hours. |
| General Rule of Thumb for 49 cc Mopeds. Persons operating mopeds have the same rights and duties as drivers of motor vehicles. Moped operators will receive citations for traffic violations. Mopeds may NOT be operated on bicycle paths, footpaths, sidewalks, off road areas, or the Mickelson Trail. |

| NOTE: Moped riding activities involve risks and dangers of serious bodily injury, including but not limited to: (a) disability, paralysis and death, (b) these risks and dangers may be caused by your own actions, or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the activity, the condition in which the activity takes place, or the negligence of others and (c) there may be other risks and social and economic losses either known to you, not known to you or not readily foreseeable at this time and you fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages incurred as a result of your participation in the moped riding activity. You should inspect all equipment before using it and take full responsibility for assuring that the equipment is in good working order and safe to use. Renter certifies that he/she is at least 21 years of age at the time and date of rental. |
| Liability: You as Renter agree to on behalf of yourself, your personal representatives, assigns, heirs and next of kin you hereby release, discharge and covenant not to sue Rental Agent, its owners, directors, trustees, officers, members, volunteers, and employees (hereafter referred to as Lessor), release them from all liability, claims, losses or damages on your account arising out of activities at or associated with the use of the product(s). You further agree that if, despite this release and indemnity agreement, you or anyone on your behalf makes a claim against any of the Lessor, you will indemnify, defend and hold harmless each of the Lessor from any litigation expense, attorney fees, loss, liability, damage or costs which also may incur as a result of such claim. The Rental Agent does not provide or issue any insurance for renter. It is the renter’s responsibility to provide any insurance required by law or as he/she deems necessary. |
